Happy Birthday To

AARON!

Yesterday was Aaron's birthday! He turned 25!! I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful husband!

Every time I put Tillman on his belly he lifts his head up really high and falls. This time he totally ROLLED OVER! I grabbed my camera to catch the end of his new little trick!

Goals

I have a lot of things I want to accomplish...

1. Teach Tillman to fall asleep on his own. So he can start taking better naps and be on a better schedule.

2. Eat healthier.

3. Exercise.

4. Be more involved in my calling. ( beehive adviser)

5. Run a 5k with my mom and Bridget this November.

Today is day one of all these goals. So we'll see how I do! Wish me luck! ;)

Date

On Saturday Aaron and I were able to go on a date to the Temple. This was our first time since being HUGE pregnant and having Tillman. I'm so lucky to have a mom that is willing to watch Tillman, so Aaron and I can go on a little date! Thanks MOM you're the BEST!!!

Friday the 13th

Every Friday the 13th my friends Mandy, Emily & Elisa get together and hang out. This year it was our 13th Friday the 13th haha crazy! We all went over to Emily's and ate pizza went to QT and watched Love Happens! (we pretty much just talked through the whole thing). I'm so glad we have this tradition. No matter how busy our lives get we know that we'll always see each other on Friday the 13th!

One Month

I can't believe Tillman is already one month old! He's growing so fast! Before I know it I'll be sending him to kindergarten! I love being a mom! It's all worth it when you see this little guys face! Even when I wake up 3 or 4 times at night!

I thought since Tillman is already a month old I thought I should write down my birth story so I don't forget it. I wont feel bad if you don't read the whole thing! This is just for my benefit!

So Monday July 12, 2010 (4 days after my due date) Aaron and I headed to the hospital at 8:30am to get induced. Once we got there I checked in and we waited FOREVER it seemed like for them to call us back to our room. Around 9:30 they were finally ready for us. Once I walked in the room with Aaron and my mom I saw the bed and the gadgets it suddenly hit me... "I'm going to have a baby today!" Then I started getting a little nervous. After I changed into my gown the nurse came in and started me on the iv. Dr. Huff wanted to break my water right away. I had group b strep so I had to get penicillin before he broke my water, so the nurse had to squeeze it in the iv as fast as she could before my Dr. came back. It felt like my arm was on FIRE!! After the medicine was all into my system he came in to break my water. After he broke my water my nurse started me on pit about an hour later I decided to get an epidural. Once I started to go into active labor I started to feel everything and I knew I shouldn't because I had an epidural. So we called the nurse in. She gave me some more medicine but nothing helped. I was having contractions every minute, and there was no relief. Around 5:30 pm I told my nurse that I think I need to start pushing, she checked me and I was at 10 cm but his head was still far up there and she said it could take me 3 hours to push him out. I decided I would try to push and see what happened. They had given me so much medicine to try and give me some relief my legs were so numb... (It never made it past my legs). So with my mom holding one leg and Aaron's mom holding the other I started pushing! It was so unreal to me that I was actually having a baby I couldn't believe that it was actually here! I push for 1 hour and at 6:38 pm Tillman Steel was born! It was such an emotional experience. When they put him on my chest I couldn't believe this was my baby! They nurse told me to give him a kiss and she took him away to get all checked out. The love you feel for your child is so instant! He was so beautiful and perfect! I'm so glad that I am sealed to Aaron he's such a wonderful supportive husband! I wouldn't want it to be any other way. I'm so thankful that our family can be together forever!

Saturday night my friend Emily came over and we decided that we wanted to make cookies and watch a movie! So we did just that! :)

After the cookies were all baked we decided we didn't feel like cookies anymore so I have TONS just sitting on my counter! haha ;)

Tillman always has to be bounced or rocked to sleep. So our friends Emily & Heath were so nice and let us barrow their swing. Also Emily brought me some swaddling blankets ( aden + anais blankets there the best!!) Tillman moves around so much whenever I swaddle him he always gets out and wakes himself up. when I swaddle him in these blankets he can never get out! He sleeps great! :)
